Jamie and Mindy's Wedding - DoubleTree Hotel, Green Tree

Saturday, October 26th, 2013

Jamie and Mindy chose an excellent mix of violin classical, pop, and even autumnal music to coordinate with their fall themed wedding ceremony. Their bridesmaids walked down the aisle to the slower part of Canon in D and Mindy perfectly timed her entrance to the beginning of the more exciting melodic variations of Pachelbel's famous work. Their recessional song was Autumn from Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

Jenna and Jeffrey's Wedding -Phipps Conservatory, Oakland

Saturday, October 12, 2013

There are so many songs to choose for a ceremony. I remember choosing music for my wedding ceremony. I felt completely over whelmed and I had trouble committing to a repertoire. When I met with Jenna and Jeffrey for their wedding, I presented a repertoire list which I created of the most commonly requested ceremony songs from my ten years of experience playing at weddings. The list featured many pop, love, and classical songs and was a great guiding tool to help them plan music for their ceremony.

Below are the songs Jeffrey and Jenna chose:

Prelude Music: Somewhere Over The Rainbow, The Way You Look Tonight, What a Wonderful World

Parent's Processional: What the World Needs Now

Bridesmaid's Processional: Can't Help Falling in Love

Bridal Processional: Canon in D

Recessional: All You Need is Love

Courtney and Daniel's Wedding - Quicksilver Golf Club, Robinson

Sunday, September 22nd, 2013

Courtney and Daniel's wedding was on the rooftop of the Quicksilver Golf Club. I played classical violin music for prelude music and their guests requested Fiddler on the Roof since I was playing on the rooftop. Very fitting!

The mothers walked down the aisle to Bach's Ave Maria followed by bridesmaids and flower girls to Canon in D. The lovely bride chose the Bridal Chorus for her processional. Courtney and Daniel joined in the sand ceremony while Cohen's, Hallelujah was being played on the violin for background music.

They both walked hand and hand to Rondeau by Mouret for their reccesional piece followed by more upbeat, classical pieces. Congratulations to Courtney and Daniel!

Stacie and Jason made several different types of homemade jam for their guests to enjoy.

Brides and grooms often ask us how we get people to dance. One of the ways to get a packed and fun dance floor is when the bride and groom dance with their guests. Guests want to be near the bride and groom. If the newlyweds are dancing, their guests will dance too! Stacie and Jason partied with their guests on the dance floor and danced the night away to oldies, top 40, disco/funk, and a few slow tunes.
